The Lighthouse Guild is the leading organization dedicated to education, programs, and medical/social support for the blind, the visually impaired, and more. It was a unique honor and challenge to create a site that would give support to all their potential audiences.
The most important factor was accessibility. The site, by definition, had to be easy-to-use and intuitive for the blind and the visually-impaired, as well as by their caregivers. We adhered to every standard, creating a site that could be easily used by those who needed it the most.
Additionally, their organization covers a lot of services. It was our job to make sure those could be found without overwhelming a visitor. This was an information-heavy site that needed to be crisp, clear, and easily-navigable.
It was an honor to work on Lighthouse Guild, and be part of their important mission.
