Orbit Media's Sports Media Monitor Design Named 2012 Silver Winner at W³ Awards
September 2012 - After reviewing over 3,000 entries, the winners of The W³ Awards 2012 have been announced by the International Academy of Visual Arts. Orbit Media's design of Sports Media Monitor website has been recognized as a silver medal winner. The W³ Awards honors creative excellence on the web, and recognizes the creative and marketing professionals behind award winning websites. We are honored to be recognized for excellence.
Orbit Media among ICIC and Fortune Magazine’s Inner City 100 winners
May 2012 - The Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) and Fortune Magazine announced that Orbit Media Studios was selected for the 2012 Inner City 100, a list of the fastest-growing inner city companies in the U.S. The Inner City 100 program recognizes successful inner city companies and their CEOs as role models for entrepreneurship, innovative business practices and job creation in America’s urban communities.
For the 2012 list, winners represent a wide span of geography, operating in 46 cities and 30 states. The 2012 Inner City 100 winners grew at a compound annual growth rate of 40 percent and an average standard growth rate of 577 percent between 2006 and 2010. Collectively, the top 100 inner city businesses employ 7,965 employees and have created more than 4,635 new jobs between 2006 and 2010. Not only are they powerful job creators in their communities, but they also treat their employees well – a stunning 93% of the list provide health insurance.

May 2012 - We are happy to announce that two websites we launched in 2012, SEEPnetwork.org and Bioelements.com, were recognized for excellence in design and visual communication by The Communicator Awards. The Communicator Awards is the leading international awards program honoring creative excellence for communication professionals. Founded by communication professionals over a decade ago, The Communicator Awards is an annual competition honoring the best in advertising, corporate communications, public relations and identity work for print, video, interactive, and audio. This year’s Communicator Awards was one of the largest awards of its kind in the world.

September 2011 - Resurection Health Care, whose website Orbit redesigned, received a "Healthcare Provider Standard of Excellence" Award from the Web Marketing Association. This is RHC's fourth Web Award!
Inner City 100: Fastest Growing Inner City Business
May 2011 - Orbit Media is honored to be a winner of the 100 fastest growing inner city businesses in the US by the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) and Fortune.com. The Inner City 100 highlights the fastest growing inner city businesses in America. For the 2011 list, ICIC received more than 2,000 nominations. We are very proud to represent Chicago along with six other Chicago based companies.
Best of 2011: Web Design Chicago
February 2011 - Orbit Media was selected by Web Hosting Break as the best web design firm in Chicago for 2011. Web Hosting Break considered design quality, capabilities and usability in selecting the winners and Orbit is proud to represent Chicago for this honor.
Golden Trumpet Award
May 2010 - The Orbit redesign of the Kemper Sports website has won a 2010 Golden Trumpet Award from the Publicity Club of Chicago. The new site "produced a showcase of its expertise within the golf course management industry and created opportunity to capture leads."
Brill Street Generation Y 50

Silver Trumpet Award
April 2009 - Orbit teamed up with the creative team at Rogue Element to produce the "Bringing Our History to Life" interactive timeline for The Society of Actuaries. This piece won a 2009 Silver Trumpet Award from the Publicity Club of Chicago.
Communicator Awards
June 2008 - In conjunction with the International Academy of the Visual Arts, the Communicator Awardshonor creative excellence in the field of communications. In the 14th-annual competition, judges examined over 8500 entries. Orbit received 4 Awards of Distinction for print and website work in 2008. Honored projects included Rhythmlink, Bettinardi, and Austin-Lehman Adventures.

November 2007 - In the premier Re: Design Contest from Dynamic Graphics magazine, judges selected 13 top redesigns from a pool of hundreds. October 2007 - The International Davey Awards honor the creative excellence of small agencies like Orbit. Members of the International Academy of the Visual Arts judged over 4,000 entries for this competition. OMS garnered a Silver Davey Award for creation of the Rhythmlink logo.

Society of Typographic Arts: Archive '07
October 2007 - The Society of Typographic Arts (STA) instated the prestigious Archive Awards to promote awareness and appreciation of design in Chicago and the Midwest. Orbit won an Archive '07 Award for our own identity. Our winning entry will permanently remain in the Society's archive - a collection that showcases the breadth of the STA's 80-year history.chicagodesignarchive.org
W3 Awards
October 2007 - Sanctioned by the International Academy of Visual Arts, the W3 Awards honor outstanding Web work. According to the W3 site, this is the first major Web competition accessible to "the biggest agencies, the smallest firms, and everyone in between. Orbit won a Silver W3 Award in the area of charitable organization/nonprofit for the Chicago Foundation for Education site.
Communicator Awards
August 2007 - The Communicator Awards honor creative excellence in the field of communications. With over 8,000 entries from firms of all sizes, this is one of the largest competitions of its kind in the world. Print and identity projects for Advanced Dermatology and Orbit�s own identity garnered three Awards of Distinction and one Honorable Mention in the 13th annual Communicator Awards.
Apex Awards
May 2007 - Sponsored by the editors of Writing that Works, the Apex Awards for Publication Excellence recognize notable achievements in the fields of communications and publication. In 2006, Orbit developed a commemorative African safari video for executives at Griffith Labs; the piece later won an Award of Excellence in the 19th annual Apex competition.apexawards.com
