Kurt Cruse

Kurt leads Orbit’s creative team with a rare mix of skill, empathy, and energy. As Creative Director, he guides a team of multidisciplinary designers—each blending UX, UI, and front-end development—to create websites that not only look exceptional but perform beautifully.

For nearly a decade in this role, Kurt has shaped Orbit’s creative vision while still rolling up his sleeves as a hands-on designer. He believes the best outcomes happen through collaboration, curiosity, and a deep understanding of how visitors think, feel, and move through a site. Every project is an opportunity to build something that works hard for the client and the people using it.

Kurt’s passion for people and projects is contagious. Whether he’s supporting his team, leading a client presentation, or stepping into a tricky meeting to help reframe the conversation, he brings positivity and clarity that get everyone moving in the right direction.

Originally from Ohio and a long-time Chicagoan, Kurt now lives in Louisville with his wife and two sons. When not immersed in creative problem-solving and helping Orbit grow, he’s usually exploring new cities, fixing up the house, or discovering the best food in town. (You might also recognize him by his unmistakable beard.)
