Ann and Kay quickly outgrew their old site. They needed a website that would better showcase their fantastic (and abundant) blog content, make it easier to connect with readers and includes ecommerce for their new Mason Dixon Knitting shop.
As we began the design process, Orbit quickly found out that yarn comes in many shapes, sizes and colors. This shaped our ecommerce design and direction.
We developed product pages to include an image for each product variation and an easy to navigate color selector. It was important to the team that the user can see the specific product they are purchasing from the beginning of their shopping experience until checkout.
Ann and Kay’s blog posts were an integral part of the new design. Orbit built a custom blog post type
A custom top navigation menu was also added to the mobile design so users could easily access chat, search, their account or their shopping cart.
Since 2001, the Orbit web design and development team has been creating custom sites and managing tricky integrations. We’re content management experts who follow best practices and work closely with web strategists and project managers to create your perfect site.
