Launch Day! Let’s Go Live!

Today’s the day. Join the Launch Zoom meeting and witness all of your hard work meet the World Wide Web.

How we celebrated website launches (pre-Zoom era)

Congrats, it’s launch day!

Your new website meets the web

In the Launch Zoom meeting, you and your Orbit project team will join together to push your site live.

By making these changes together, we can instantly address any issues that may arise during the process.

Launch day isn’t the end — it’s the beginning. The beginning of your website promotion and optimization journey.

Congratulations!

The site is live. Now what?

Once the site is live, check it out and explore. We’ll be doing the same on our end, testing everything from the mega menu to button animations.

  • Test the forms and any 3rd party features like a chatbot to make sure they function on the live domain!
  • Login to your website and make corrections or changes and see them live instantly.
  • Test the site on various devices and browsers to ensure a seamless user experience for all visitors.

Resolution management

  • You can make changes in WordPress as soon as you see the site live. Keep in mind that as the site is propagating, some people may not see your changes right away. Just give it some time.
  • If you’re unable to make an update via WordPress, report it to your Project Manager and we’ll troubleshoot it right away.
  • For all critical, urgent, or after-hours matters, submit a support ticket at support.orbitmedia.com

Did you make an anouncement?

If you told your colleagues about the launch…

  • It is possible that it will take a bit for the website to be updated on their computer. If they can’t see it, suggest clearing their browser history and cache. Sometimes restarting the computer or modem/router is even necessary.
  • It’s likely that they’ll be testing, exploring, and looking for things that give you more work to do. As their ideas and suggestions come floating in, we recommend taking note of the feedback and coming back to it later once your other priorities are completed.

It’s time to spread your wings and fly!

A few days after the launch, we’ll schedule the post-launch strategy meeting where we revisit the project goals and celebrate achievements. We’ll wrap up the project and make sure you have the appropriate contact information for when you need help with your website.

Project wrap-up and transition

Now that your website has launched, your project team will be completing their post-launch tasks and scheduling a project transition meeting with your team. This meeting reintroduces your web strategist and introduces you to our Client Success Director.

In preparation for the transition meeting, your project team takes steps to wrap up the project.

Conduct website health review

The Website Health Review provides a snapshot of key performance metrics at the time of launch and highlights potential areas for improvement to support your ongoing optimization efforts. Key areas assessed include:

  • Page speed
  • Accessibility
  • GA4 and GTM configuration
  • Search Console performance report review and analysis
  • 404 errors and redirect review

Google Search Console remediation

After launch, you’ll receive notifications from Google Search Console. These emails can feel urgent, but here’s what you need to know:

  • Some warnings or notices reflect issues our team is already aware of and actively addressing as part of your post-launch work.
  • Others are non-urgent and often resolve on their own as search engines re-crawl and index your new site.
  • Some notifications may even reflect intentional decisions made during the project.
  • There’s no need to forward every alert you get as we’re likely already on the matter at hand.

Confirm website goals

In preparation for the transition meeting, your project team will confirm that the website goals identified in the proposal and throughout the project have been met.

This includes reviewing key objectives, ensuring all agreed-upon features and functionalities are in place.

Identify opportunities

The team may have identified opportunities during the project or after the launch. In such cases, a list of recommendations or actions is provided for your team to consider and implement.

After launch comes long-term work

Your site is a living representation of your brand. Content updates are not only expected but essential as your customers learn more and your organization grows or shifts focus.

Our team will continue to support you. Your strategist will check back to see how the site is performing and we’ll also explore any enhancements or optimization opportunities to drive even more value from your website.

Thank you!

We hope you are as delighted as we are about your new website.

We’ll reach out soon for feedback about the project, the process, and the team.

Looking forward to a continued partnership with you!

See the impact of your new website

After your site has been live for 60–90 days, we conduct a post-launch performance evaluation designed to measure what matters.

Our goals are simple: To celebrate the successes and to help you clearly demonstrate the business impact of your new website to internal stakeholders.

A stylized graph on a computer screen shows a steady upward trend, represented by an arrow rising from left to right over shaded blue chart areas.

If baseline tracking was in place on your previous site and we have clean comparison data, we’ll deliver a report that highlights:

  • Growth in organic traffic to key pages (the pages we wrote to drive conversions)
  • Overall organic traffic trends across the site
  • Key event performance (form conversions)
  • Traffic acquisition insights, including emerging AI-driven sources
  • Core Web Vitals and technical performance improvements
  • Keyphrase rank movement

When our evaluation is complete, Shahin will contact you to schedule the walkthrough and discuss other opportunities to work together.
