How to purchase a WPML license

You’ve chosen to forego Orbit Managed Services, so you’ll need to purchase a WPML license. If you’re planning to use automatic translations, you’ll also need to set that up.

Here we’ve outlined the steps to getting started with the WordPress Multilingual Plugin. With just a few clicks, you’ll

  • Create your WPML account and set up payment
  • Send us the site key found within your account

Buy directly from the WPML website

  1. Go to: https://wpml.org/purchase/
  2. Choose a plan
    1. Multilingual CMS – the default option for Orbit-built sites at only $99/year for the license
    2. Multilingual Agency – only choose this if you’re using WPML on more than 3 live sites
  3. Create an account and purchase
    1. Complete checkout with your name, email, and billing info
      1. NOTES: For the email address, we recommend using a shared or company email in case someone else needs access to your account within your company
    2. WPML subscriptions auto-renew annually unless canceled.

After the account is created, get your site key

  1. You’ll also get a confirmation email with login credentials and instructions
  2. Go to your WPML account dashboard
  3. Go to “Sites” > “Add New Site” and enter your domain to generate a site key
  4. Copy the site key and share it with your project manager
    • NOTE: You’ll get instructions to download the plugin, but we don’t need that as we’ll likely already have the plugin installed.
