As a scholarly publisher, McGill-Queen’s University Press has published more than 3,000 books and won numerous awards. This Canadian university press has a global reach, and aims to advance scholarship, promote public debate, and contribute to culture. But to do that, they first needed a new website.
When McGill-Queen’s University Press came to Orbit for an e-commerce website redesign, we set out to create a sophisticated, scholarly design that would be more intuitive and engrossing for the user. We wanted to improve user registration rates and make it easy for people to create profiles, while also automating order processing and delivery. The site features a sleek product catalog (including toggled pricing for international shopping) and enables users to find titles easily with faceted search criteria.
