The Horton Group approached Orbit with modern design and functionality ideas to create a fluid process with compelling results. The process was also expertly enhanced by pairing up with Orbit’s content design services.
The main objectives of this project included developing a strong new presence and look and feel for The Horton Group, emphasizing their dynamic approach to traditional insurance issues and becoming a repository of information and ideas. Orbit’s use of sweeping blues throughout the site with piercing red accents helped push this design into an engaging, clean and modern living space.
We designed The Horton Group’s new site with mobile in mind. To keep the design friendly and highly usable on all devices, we considered how each specific feature would work on both tablet and mobile platforms. To enhance user experience, certain elements get larger while others become smaller. As the text and images shrink to accommodate new smaller widths, engaging user features — such as call-to-action buttons — become larger and easier to click.
The Horton Group worked closely with our Content Design team to create a suitable voice and tone and match it with appropriate imagery throughout the site. Essentially, Horton wanted the site’s narrative to act as a consulting guide on the user’s digital journey. Providing the website with this depth of character and image selection ultimately lead to the successes of two of Horton’s most important objectives 1. increase user’s time spent on the site and 2. compel the user to engage with content.
