Web Project Management Team Leader

A Web Project Management Team Leader (aka Web Delivery Manager) at Orbit is responsible for overseeing and managing Project Managers, as well as actual website projects. This person will manage capacity of the team, consistency in the delivery process and quality of the final product.

The Project Management Team Leader is focused on people and process, on service and results. It means making clients happy by understanding their needs and delivering exceptional results. It also means completing projects on-time and on-budget. As a detail-oriented “people person”, this person will run enthusiastic, effective meetings. This person truly enjoys planning, budgets, scope, risk and communication.

As leader of the project team, you would work hand-in-hand with the leaders within Orbit and regularly work directly with clients, always in a friendly, cooperative, professional manner.

Project Leadership

  • Lead team that meets deadlines, adheres to budgets and drives results for clients
  • Conduct reviews of quality and consistency across projects
  • Manage Capacity: monitor the project pipeline, assign project managers, report utilization, run weekly production meetings

Manage Projects

  • Guide clients through the entire website design process
  • Run project meetings, present and document deliverables
  • Understand project goals, scope and expected results. Advise clients
  • Follow all OMS standard processes and policies while using creativity and good judgment to meet specific project demands

Team Management

  • Own the performance management process for the Project Managers: set expectations, conduct reviews and provide consistent feedback
  • Ensure the Project Management team is meeting Orbit quality standards
  • Motivate the team. Help make Orbit energetic, positive, and fun

To be a good fit for this position, you’ll have a strong service ethic and be a great communicator, written and verbal. You’ll also likely have these things in your background:

  • 5+ years of project management experience on website/software projects
  • 1-3 years of direct management experience
  • Fluency in current web marketing strategy: SEO, conversion, email marketing, Analytics, social media, etc.
  • Proficient in Content Management Tools
  • A Bachelors Degree in a relevant field
