UX / Conversion Strategist

As a Conversion Optimization Specialist, you will provide strategic UX, content and design related recommendations for improving the number of quality leads our clients receive. You’ll be responsible for the implementation and reporting of your recommendations. You will provide UX strategy related to B2B and some B2C ecommerce websites from product catalog architecture to cart and checkout optimization.

Core responsibilities

  • Lead discovery sessions with clients to understand their business goals
  • Perform audits and conduct research to identify conversion opportunities on client sites
  • Create optimization roadmaps and prioritize ideas for maximum business impact
  • Provide recommendations for improving conversions (client interaction)
  • Provide recommendations for improving site usability
  • Create mockups for new/proposed website content


  • 5+ years experience managing conversion optimization for websites in a client-facing role
  • 5+ years of landing page optimization and an understanding of how SEO, UX, and copy work together
  • 5+ years of experience leveraging experimentation platforms such as Google Optimize, Hotjar, Unbounce, etc…
  • Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data to make informed decisions about where to improve the conversion funnel
  • Strong understanding of analytics with hands on experience in Google Analytics, GTM, and Data Studio
  • Knowledge of experiment design and statistics for testing
  • Willingness to seek continuous improvement and make tradeoff decisions between speed to execution and quality
  • Good communication skills and patience when explaining technical concepts to non-technical colleagues and clients
  • Background in User Experience, HCI, Web Design and Strategy, and/or Digital Marketing
  • Proficiency in web design applications such as Photoshop, Sketch & InDesign
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Thorough understanding of HTML and CSS is required

Bonus points for experience with one or more of the following

  • Consumer psychology and the principles of persuasive design
  • Basic understanding of JavaScript/jQuery
  • Behavioral analysis tools platforms such as Heap Analytics, Contentsquare, Fullstory, Decibel, or similar
