Account Manager
Department: Client Services
Reports to: Strategic Director
Assist Project Management
- Participate in project kickoff meetings
- Serve as backup contact during projects
- Work with client on scope and buget changes
Maintain and Grow Client Relationships
- Serve as primary contact for clients once a project is complete
- Educate clients on range of Orbit services
Administrative
- Close projects and invoice
- Document common questions and answers to better train future Account Managers
Competencies include:
- Strong communication skills; phone, written and verbal
- Experience in trouble-shooting project problems
- Accurate estimating of project time and cost
- Ability to analyze client needs to propose best solutions
- Business development, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Skilled at negotiating scope and fees of a project with prospects and clients
- Significant expertise in web marketing
Does not do, except for training or mentoring:
- Hands-on project management
- Creating, editing, or quality checking of client deliverables
Attributes/Soft Skills:
- Proactive, anticipatory communication skills with clients and project managers
- Strong knowledge of all Orbit capabilities
Education/Experience:
- Minimum Bachelors Degree
- 5+ years experience in creative firm in marketing, sales or project management in a creative services firm with at least 3 years managing client relationships
